A Rock Band for such a time as this...

Jacob's Well is not only a band with a Modern Rock sound but a Rock Solid Foundation in Jesus Christ. The band is currently based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

 

Jacob's Well was formed in May 1998. Their humble beginnings started at one of the churches in the city of Fort Wayne, Calvary Temple. There, they actively participated as part of praise and worship team for both the main service and the youth ministry.

Jacob's Well is a band that is very serious about the calling on their lives. They're not interested in being "Rock Stars" but about reaching the world of Lost Souls, the Back-Sliden as well as Believers with the Gospel Message.

 

They are able to accomplish this due to much of their music being written in the style of a Parable. The message is clear to those who want to hear. And it is Stealth to those who do not because of the scriptural basis of most of their music. The verbiage is current. Therefore, the music can be played and not categorized by any genre. Their music is described as "Positive Message Alternative Rock and Soul" for this reason. Not to mention, their varied sound and harmonies gives this rock genre a soulish undertone that has an appeal to all ages and cultures.

 

What sets them apart from other bands? Most Bands have a lead vocalist, but Jacob's Well has two! This has allowed their harmonies, style and sound to bring to the stage a variety that appeal to all audiences. They demonstrate an unwavering commitment to their families, their belief and their music. Jacob's Well has something to offer everyone, from any walk of life.

 

If there was ever a question as to if this group could really reach the world with their genre... Specifically, Jacob's Well has been invited to go to Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania to share their music with the people of these countries. They were invited by Senior Pastor Rev Jonathan E. & Rose Mudenyo, of New Hope Christian Center.

 

As song writers, the words that God has given them, they have had many blessed opportunities to share with others. They have opened for Switchfoot, Building 429, Tenth Avenue North, Jonah33, Decyfer Down, Seventh Time Down, the Letter Black, Children 18:3, Across The Sky, Cool Hand Luke, Grits, and Petra (Original Members)

 

The band has Ministered in Music as the Headline Act for many Events. They participated in the MCA Universal Records - NASHVILLE PRODUCERS AUDITIONS in Greenwood, IN. where they received an outstanding evaluation from MCA Universal Records Producer of the Year and Hall of Fame Recipient, Mr. Robert Metzgar of Capitol Management Group. They have been honored to play awesome venues such as 3 Rivers Festival – Fort Wayne, IN., Soul Stock - Decatur, AL, The Door - Dallas TX., The Upper Room Farmersville TX., Come2go Ministries, The Cupbearer, The Wreck and Columbia Street West in Indiana just to name a few.
